For a long time, the question of settling and developing the Russian Far East has remained relevant. Despite the fact that many state programs were implemented in the region in the XX-XXI centuries, the Russian Far East, rich in natural resources, cannot yet be attributed to the dynamically developing regions of our country. The Far Eastern territories continue to face many socio-economic problems, which complicates the implementation of important geostrategic tasks facing our country in the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
About five years ago, the development of the Far East significantly intensified. In 2011, at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Far East and Baikal Region Development Fund was established to search for and implement projects that can attract domestic and foreign investors to the region. In 2012, the Ministry for the Development of the Far East was established.
Among the most promising tools for modernizing the region that contribute to accelerating the socio-economic development of the Far East is the creation of models of so - called territories of advanced socio-economic development (TASED), which can be formed in the Russian Far East until 2018 and operate for up to 70 years.
In such territories, particularly favorable conditions should be created for accelerated socio-economic development and creating comfortable living conditions for the population, as well as for attracting investment, including foreign investment.
