Based on analysis of historical documents, official US Air Force reports, and journalistic investigations, the true chronology of the July 1947 events and their subsequent mythologization is reconstructed. Particular attention is devoted to Project Mogul as the actual source of the debris found, the role of ufologists in creating the legend, and the transformation of a small New Mexico town into the epicenter of a global tourism industry built on belief in aliens.

This article examines the critical strategic question of whether Russia possesses the capability to destroy the United States with a nuclear first strike while successfully precluding a devastating retaliatory response. Based on analysis of open-source intelligence, strategic force postures, official statements, and expert commentary, this study deconstructs the technical, operational, and doctrinal dimensions of this question. Particular attention is devoted to the structure of Russian strategic forces, the capabilities of the US nuclear triad and early warning systems, the role of automatic retaliatory systems like "Perimeter," and the fundamental strategic stability paradigm that has defined US-Russian relations for decades.

Ovaj članak pruža sveobuhvatan pregled Tomahawk krstarećeg projektila, jednog od najsvestranijih i najčešće korišćenih oružja preciznog navođenja u modernom vojnom arsenalu. Na osnovu analize zvaničnih vojnih izvora, istorijskih podataka o borbenoj upotrebi i tehničkih specifikacija, članak rekonstruira evoluciju, dizajn i stratešku ulogu ovog sistema oružja. Posebna pažnja posvećena je njegovoj tehnologiji navođenja, istoriji borbene upotrebe, nedavnom modernizacijom u verzije Block V i geopolitičkim implikacijama mogućeg transfera u Ukrajinu.
