Aerokultura i poljoprivreda

Termin «aviacionnih sorta» u strogoj naučnoj smislu ne postoji u selekcijskoj nomenklaturi. Međutim, istorički pod ovim terminom razumijaju specijalizirane sorte poljoprivrednih kultura, stvorene ili široko uvedene u period industrijalizacije poljoprivrednog gospodarstva SSSR u 1960-1980-ima, čije uzgoj je bio optimално prilagođen primjeni avijacione tehnike (aviahimrada, aeroseva) na vast polja. To je bio simbion agronomije, selekcije i avijacione industrije, usmeren na maksimalnu mehanizaciju i efikasnost u uslovima ekstenzivnog zemljorada.

Agrotehnički zahtevi za «nebesnim» sortama

Pik «aviacione selekcije» je došao u period osvajanja čelinskih i zalježnih zemalja, gde polja veličine u tisućama hektara su činili zemaljsku obradu iznimno sporo.
