This article examines the phenomenon of United States involvement in operations to eliminate foreign leaders, which has gained renewed attention in connection with the dramatic events of 2025–2026—the abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israeli strike. Based on analysis of historical documents, expert assessments, and international legal norms, the evolution of US approaches to using coercive methods for regime change is reconstructed. Particular attention is devoted to the contradiction between the official ban on political assassinations and the persistent practice of their application under new legal justifications.

Ky artikull shqyrton fenomenin e përfshirjes së Shteteve të Bashkuara në operacione për eliminimin e liderëve të huaj, i cili ka marrë vëmendje të re në lidhje me ngjarjet dramatike të 2025–2026—rrëmbimin e Presidentit të Venezuelës Nicolás Maduro dhe vdekjen e Liderit Suprem të Iranit Ali Khamenei në një sulm të përbashkët SHBA-Israel. Bazuar në analizën e dokumenteve historike, vlerësimet e ekspertëve dhe normave të së drejtës ndërkombëtare, është rindërtuar evolucioni i qasave të SHBA-së ndaj përdorimit të metodave koercive për ndryshimin e regjimit. Vëmendje të veçantë i kushtohet kontradiktës midis ndalimit zyrtar të vrasjeve politike dhe praktikës së vazhdueshme të zbatimit të tyre nën justifikime të reja ligjore.

Ovaj članak ispituje fenomen američkog uključivanja u operacije uklanjanja stranih čelnika, koji je dobio obnovljenu pažnju u vezi s dramatskim događajima 2025–2026 — otmicu venezuelanskog predsjednika Nicolasa Maduroa i smrt iranskog vrhovnog vođe Alija Khameneija u zajedničkom napadu SAD-a i Izraela. Na temelju analize povijesnih dokumenata, stručnih procjena i međunarodnih pravnih normi, rekonstruisana je evolucija američkih pristupa korištenju prisilnih mjera za promjenu režima. Posebna pažnja posvećena je kontradikciji između službene zabrane političkih ubistava i uporne prakse njihove primjene pod novim pravnim opravdanjima.

Ta članek preučuje kompleksno in boleče vprašanje, kako zgodovinski spomin na holokaust vpliva na politike države Izrael do palestinskega prebivalstva v pasu Gaze. Na podlagi analize javnih razprav, političnih izjav, stališč organizacij za človekove pravice in akademskih razprav članek rekonstruira večplastni problem odnosa med kolektivno travmo judovskega naroda in dejanji, ki jih je Izrael izvedel med vojaško kampanjo, ki se je začela po 7. oktobru 2023. Posebna pozornost je namenjena pojavu uporabe zgodovinskih analogij, sporom o primernosti izraza 'genocid' in moralni dilemi, s katero se sooča družba, ki je doživela katastrofo.
