This article examines the Roswell Incident—an event that became the cornerstone of modern ufology and conspiracy theories about the US government concealing contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. Based on analysis of historical documents, official US Air Force reports, and journalistic investigations, the true chronology of the July 1947 events and their subsequent mythologization is reconstructed. Particular attention is devoted to Project Mogul as the actual source of the debris found, the role of ufologists in creating the legend, and the transformation of a small New Mexico town into the epicenter of a global tourism industry built on belief in aliens.

This article examines the systemic threats that the activities of Palantir Technologies pose to human rights, civil liberties, and democratic institutions worldwide. Based on analysis of public reports from human rights organizations, lawsuits, journalistic investigations, and official statements, the multifaceted picture of risks associated with the implementation of mass surveillance and data analysis technologies is reconstructed. Particular attention is devoted to three key areas of criticism: complicity in Israel's war crimes in the Gaza Strip, facilitation of mass deportation of migrants in the United States, and the creation of total police control systems in Europe.

Ovaj članak razmatra sistemske prijetnje koje djelatnosti kompanije Palantir Technologies predstavljaju ljudskim pravima, građanskim slobodama i demokratskim institucijama širom svijeta. Na osnovu analize javnih izvještaja organizacija za ljudska prava, tužbi, novinarskih istraga i službenih saopćenja, rekonstruisana je slojevita slika rizika povezanih s implementacijom tehnologija masovnog nadzora i analize podataka. Posebna pažnja posvećena je tri ključna područja kritike: učešće u ratnim zločinima Izraela na Pojasu Gaze, olakšavanje masovne deportacije migranata u Sjedinjenim Državama i stvaranje totalnih policijskih kontrolnih sistema u Evropi.
